To Lighthouse Trails:
I too am very interested in apologetics and discernment ministry. Thank you so much for caring for God’s sheep!
I posted on my FaceBook account about 10 different false teachers that are popular on TV, their brand of false teaching and asked my friends to pray for them.
I am so concerned for the sheep of Christ, as I know you are, with false teaching.
The reason I say this is that I got attacked by two dear Christian friends. They said I was accusing the brethren like the devil does, judging another Christian, and then gave me the love chapter. Oh it was like a stab in the heart. I totally released forgiveness to these two brothers. But I also told them, are we not to be Bereans, are we not to contend for the faith? One just got back to me with more Scripture. He said he doesn’t like ministries who condemn other Christians.
All that being said, the Lord God has called me to become a pastor for his flock, after all these posts and after all these criticisms. God is so good!
I am wondering if you ever get criticized for your discernment ministry by well-meaning Christians. If you do, what is your response to them?
God bless you richly in all that you do for Him!

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your heart felt letter. In answer to your question, yes, over the past nearly 15 years since we began, we have been attacked and condemned many times by others. We’ve been called terrible names (even though we ourselves do not turn to such hateful tactics), and we have been lied about. Here are a few articles we have written that might give you an idea of how we deal with this:

Dave, as you have learned, it’s not an easy job contending for the faith and defending the Gospel, but once we are compelled by the Lord to do so, what else can we do?
May God strengthen and lead you.
